BabyTV Video Application

BabyTV, a FOX International Channel, announces a new video application for toddlers, offering them high quality video experience and fun with their favorite BabyTV characters.

BabyTV is claimed to be the first major media brand to adopt Apple’s in-app renewable subscription model. The application will be available on iOS mobile devices including iPhone and iPad.

The application’s design and intuitive menus capture the toddler’s interest, offering an enjoyable viewing experience with minimal parental involvement.

Content provided is retrieved from BabyTV’s repository of programs based on the same familiar characters toddlers watch on the BabyTV channel.

The platform will launch as a subscription service, initially available in 10 languages, including: English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Mandarin, Japanese, and Arabic.

Based on Applicaster’s turnkey solution, the application provides both download and full streaming capabilities and enables toddlers to watch videos on the iOS mobile devices in all 3 connectivity scenarios, with minimal buffering and slow connection interruptions, says the company.

“BabyTV has always been committed above all to provide high quality content for children,” said Maya Talit, global marketing director, BabyTV.

The solution is based on the HQME initiative, backed by SanDisk and others, and utilizes the ‘dead spots’ in mobile data usage patterns, to leverage network performance, while offering a readily available solution to match consumer’s mobile lifestyle.

The content downloaded can be remotely deleted from the user’s device or can be set to expire when subscription ends.

Founded in 2003, BabyTV offers 24 hours of content created by educational experts for babies and toddlers, in a commercial-free environment.
