SOS Campaign to Help Orphaned Children

SOS Children’s Villages – USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting orphaned and abandoned children, is partnering with companies to raise awareness about the 153 million children around the world who have lost one or both parents.

Less than 1 percent of these orphaned children will ever be adopted; many of them will never know the security and love that only a family can provide, according to SOS Children’s Villages.

The SOS “Desks for a Difference” cause campaign will launch this November during National Orphan Awareness Month and continue throughout 2014.

SOS Children’s Villages invites companies to participate in a variety of employee engagement activities to support orphaned and abandoned children worldwide. Activities include office fundraising campaigns, social media conversations, and special events.

SOS Children’s Villages is offering companies turnkey tools for customized employee engagement campaigns via their “Desks for a Difference” campaign. This platform offers a chance for employees to make a difference right from their desks.

“Together, we can exponentially change the lives of many orphaned and abandoned children that would otherwise be left without a home and support system,” said Lynn Croneberger, chief executive officer of SOS Children’s Villages – USA.
